No, I am not talking about the Fall of Kabul, this blog is all about trading.
After the first week of live trading, I felt like I have arrived and it could be even better. Then I saw someone uses 256t chart and making bank so I changed my chart from 200t to that and I also added 3 more indicators to the same chart for good measure. What happened next was a typical same old story I promptly gave it all back. I have changed my chart back to the way it was and, hopefully, the lesson will sink in this time. Three notable mistakes this month 2 old and 1 new, changing chart style and adding new indicators without testing them first (old), drinking beer while trading (new, ah! the peril of working at home). Here is my performance for August. The chart shows the commissions really do some damage to the bottom line. I am now back at work so the number of trading days probably will be less for the next month.
