a quick update on the first week of August

So Ninja has a sale and I decided to buy a permanent license. Live trades happen because I switched from sim license to live license then promptly forgot about it. I trades on some left over amount since the last try, I haven't decided how much I want to fund the account.

SIM report June 2021

This is the June performance report. The average daily number of trades is 5. It's right where I want it. Keeping it green day in, day out is what I want. The daily profit is $500 but I probably aim for $100 in live trading.   

 SIM report Sept 2019 - May 2021

Happy the very first  Juneteenth! I get an unexpected day off so here I am. As I mentioned before I lost all my notes and chart setups but now I think the reason I don't have any notes because I already wrote out the method into the blog name. In another word, it's just buying support, selling resistance as usual. I didn't recall exactly what was the setup but I think I came up/stumble upon better setups, time will tell. Here are statistics using the new method. Once again what I am looking for is consecutive green days the more the better, nothing too complicated to keep track of.

     

July and August 2019

My laptop crashed sometime in July, one thing leaded to another and I just get in back. My hard drive got wiped clean so 2 years of charting, indicators and trade records using Ninja are gone. I don't have any backup to get then back. In July I got moved to another team, new team, new software to learn, new work habit and more distractions away from market. In August I was able to re finance my house so there is lesser pressure to look for extra money. I have been 2 months away from market and don't feel a compelling need to get back. In summary beside of paying Ninja rental fee quarterly, my losses is (8322.24 starting balance)  -(1000 withdraw) -(7115.96 August balance) = -209.28. I was testing a strategy using micro ES to hedge against micro NQ in case NQ trade goes wrong. I did hold a pair of them over the weekend without losing any sleep. I will reduce my account to 1K to trade micro only but I have to rebuild my charts first. I don't know how long before I post again but thanks for reading so far.

Live (micro) June 2019 performance

With the introducing of micro contract for NQ, MNQ I don't have to go back on Sim. Since I don't have time to monitor my trades, I just put my order entries at some reasonable levels and check back when I have time. The so called 'set and forget' trade method.

Live May 2019 performance

Monthly statement reported  -1015.00, but Ninja reported -1034. I got moved to a new team, new position, new skill to learn, new work habit. The last trade was just out of frustration and the result reflected that. Time to go back to sim, adapt or die.
